METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment and to gain synergies targeted to generate value for our customers and suppliers alike. Today the company is operating 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad & Faisalabad.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to document business requirements & translate them into Digital Solutions.
- Develop, Configure, customize and maintain core Digital Solutions to align with Business requirements
- Provide support, training, guidance and managing METRO applications including (BI/DWH, CRM, POS, Retail applications (MMS), ERP) to users.
- Creation and managing reports/dashboards in BI (MicroStrategy, Qlickview)
- Manage Integrations between Digital Solutions & act as a primary Contact for resolving application issues.
- Strong Knowledge of SQL, PLSQL.
- Strong knowledge of Databases (Oracle, Teradata, DANA/GCP)
- Implement and coordinate international projects.
- Lead technical implementations in collaboration with international colleagues & internal stakeholders.
- Monthly and yearly closing of different applications.
- Development of new reports/custom objects in MicroStrategy.
- Ensure accuracy of data provided to METRO users.
- Ensure data protection and data quality checks.
- Take initiatives on improvement of processes.
University degree (Bachelors or Masters in CS/IT)
- 2-3 years’ experience working on Digital Platforms.
- In depth knowledge of retail business & processes.
- Microstrategy and BI applications
- CRM & POS
- Teradata, SQL, MS SQL
- Migration and integration experience
- ERP – SAP Financials/Invoices modules knowledge
- BI developments (Metadata, Reports & Dashboards)
