Women at metro: empowerment through shared expereinces

In line with International Women’s Day, METRO Pakistan organized a virtual candid conversation under the theme “Give to Gain” for female store employees, featuring two female leaders. Through their personal journeys, they shared insights on overcoming challenges, embracing growth, and unlocking opportunities through determination and continuous learning. The session reinforced our commitment to empowering women and building an inclusive workplace where every voice is valued.

Celebrating togetherness at metro's grand iftaar

On 25 February 2026, METRO Pakistan hosted a Grand Iftar for Head Office employees at MD Farms, Thokar Niaz Baig, bringing colleagues together for an evening of connection and celebration. The gathering featured Board addresses, a Naat competition, interactive Own Brands Tambola, and an employee recognition ceremony honoring outstanding contributions. The evening concluded with a shared iftar dinner, making it a memorable celebration of community, appreciation, and togetherness.

Connecting female farmers to modern markets: building sustainable supply chains

METRO Pakistan hosted female farmers from Balochistan under the FAO project “Revival of Balochistan Water Resources Program.” The visit enabled knowledge sharing on modern retail standards, quality, and safety, while exploring opportunities for direct sourcing and market access. This initiative reflects our commitment to responsible sourcing, capacity building, and empowering women across the agriculture and livestock sector.

On International Education Day, METRO Pakistan welcomed students and residents of Hum Mashal-e-Rah Foundation, Lahore, for a meaningful learning experience focused on inclusion and skill development. Through a guided tour and hands-on exposure to business operations, participants gained practical insights, while interactive activities fostered confidence, joy, and connection. This initiative reflects our belief that education empowers everyone and inclusion is a shared responsibility.

METRO x Al Shifa trust

METRO Pakistan signed an MoU with Al-Shifa Trust to facilitate voluntary customer donations in support of their life-changing eye care mission. Through this partnership, we reinforce our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and accessible healthcare for all, helping create a brighter and clearer future for those in need.

Breaking bias, building bridges

Our employees participated in a Conscious Inclusion workshop in collaboration with Global Diversity Practice, with Farrah Qureshi, focused on identifying unconscious bias and strengthening an inclusive workplace culture. Through interactive sessions and in-depth discussions, participants gained deeper awareness and practical tools to foster respect, diversity, and belonging across the organization in their day to day work life..
