Manager Expansion

Job description

Expansion Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive expansion plan to drive METRO’s footprint growth, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.

Market Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research and feasibility studies to identify high-potential locations based on demographic trends, competition, customer behavior, and logistical viability.

Site Selection:
Lead end-to-end site identification and acquisition processes, including lease/rental negotiations, due diligence, permitting, and feasibility assessments.

Project Management:
Manage warehouse development projects from initiation to operational launch, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Stakeholder Coordination:
Liaise with cross-functional internal teams, external consultants, vendors, and government authorities to ensure smooth project execution and regulatory compliance.

Performance Monitoring:
Evaluate the performance of expansion projects post-launch, tracking key metrics such as ROI, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction to inform future strategies.

METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed

Qualifications

University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.


Additional Information

Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Expansion Projects, preferably in wholesale/ retail or FMCG.
