METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment and to gain synergies targeted to generate value for our customers and suppliers alike. Today the company is operating 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad & Faisalabad.

Manage and supervise in-store QA activities, ensuring compliance with METRO standards and local regulations; conduct statistical reporting and analysis to improve compliance performance
Implement and strengthen FSSC 22000, Halal, and METRO Corporate Standards; act as Food Safety Team Leader
Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met through coordination with relevant stakeholders, authority agencies, and internal departments
Coordinate training programmes on food safety, quality, and legality aspects across the organisation
Establish and maintain SOPs/WIs aligned with company standards and national regulations, including product monitoring and labelling systems
Handle customer complaints, quality incidents, and crisis management, including product recalls and returns
Develop and implement document and data control systems
Reduce quality-related losses through collaboration with operations and QA teams to identify improvement opportunities
