METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment and to gain synergies targeted to generate value for our customers and suppliers alike. Today the company is operating 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad & Faisalabad with the registered name of METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.

METRO Pakistan is part of METRO GROUP’s sales division METRO Cash & Carry, the international leader in self-service wholesale. The company operates more than 700 stores in 21 countries and has a workforce of over 100,000 employees. Sales in 2015 were approximately 30 billion Euro.

• To keep proper checks for expiry products
• To ensure that rail card and signage are changes and updated as and when required
• To ensure that shelves are presentable and filled
• To ensure the stock availability
• To punch re-packing in GMS system on timely basis
• To perform MAV on weekly basis through internal consumption for the bakery production
• To perform stock orders with necessary documentations
• To participate in weekly and annual inventories
• To take corrective and preventive measures for wastage and shirk-age control
• To coordinate and resolve QA related issues against periodical visits and other findings from time to time
• To ensure the proper cleansing and hygienic environment of the over bakery and production areas and equipments
• To continuously monitor the negatives.
• To perform free samplings for product promotions of high priced
• articles
• To recommend new recipes for bakery products for sales improvement and addressing customer needs 
• Structural deficiency monitoring.
