Job Description

  • Relationship management with top suppliers to establish win-win setup.
  • Develop new suppliers and maintain genuine, sustainable partnerships with the existing ones.
  • Responsible for category sales, income, assortment, stock days, planogram and category dress-up.
  • Ensure maximum growth of profitable suppliers and generate ‘cash’ on volumes from top suppliers by selling their product in the right channels.
  • Develop & grow METRO Own brands to deliver key strategic targets.
  • Review brand/supplier performance and profitability.
  • Negotiate business plans with partners to attract end consumers to increase customer base & basket size.
  • Identify gaps in assortment in each category based on local market needs.
  • Monitor daily sales and margins on article and take corrective actions to safeguard margin erosion.
  • Assist the category in the process of assessment and change in the purchase and sale prices and prepare price comparisons.
  • Visit, evaluate and select the adequate suppliers and assist the buyer in the decision of the terms and condition.
  • Determine and continuously maintain the ideal assortment for the given area, in terms of turnover, profit and stock level.
  • Keep the record of the changes in articles and prepare action plans.
  • Maintain the article/ supplier database through METRO Management System (MMS).
  • Implement & maintain the planogram at each store as per ARP Model.
  • Role Model Guiding Principles & leadership code on a day to day basis.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution.
